When to Visit
Bhutan through the seasons
Bhutan changes beautifully with the seasons, and each time of year reveals a different side of the country. From spring blossoms and autumn festivals to lush summer valleys and crystal-clear winter skies, the best season depends on the kind of journey you want to have.

Spring
Spring brings Bhutan into bloom, with mild days, fresh mountain air, and valleys brightened by jacaranda and rhododendron. Highlights include Punakha in blossom, clear hiking weather, and vibrant festival season.

Summer
Summer is Bhutan at its greenest, when rain-fed valleys feel rich, quiet, and deeply alive. Highlights include misty landscapes, fewer visitors, dramatic river valleys, and a softer, more intimate travel experience.

Autumn
Autumn is crisp, golden, and wonderfully clear, with some of the year's best mountain views and a festive energy across the country. Highlights include ideal trekking conditions, big cultural festivals, and luminous Himalayan skies.

Winter
Winter is peaceful, bright, and beautifully uncrowded, with sharp blue skies and a slower rhythm across the country. Highlights include clear views, serene monastery visits, cozy farmhouse stays, and black-necked cranes in Phobjikha.

The Last Shangri-La
Bhutan, where stillness and wonder endure
Bhutan feels unlike anywhere else — a Himalayan kingdom of forested valleys, cliffside monasteries, and living traditions that still shape everyday life. Travel here is not only about what you see, but how you experience it: slowly, thoughtfully, and with a deep sense of connection to place.
From the iconic Tiger's Nest to peaceful villages, mountain passes, and richly layered culture, Bhutan offers a rare kind of journey — one that is both uplifting and grounding. Whether you come for nature, spirituality, or meaningful discovery, Bhutan stays with you long after you leave.
